APRIL 14

This morning, students entered into space(Gymnasium) and encountered a large spaceship(gym mats) that had to soon be occupied by astronauts(students) . They were then introduced to an activity of 'Star Wars' which helped them further improve their tossing and aiming abilities. Grade 1/2

Students taking part in a cooperative team activity of 'Sink the Ship'. Students did an awesome job trying to develop strategies to protect their ship from sinking, and at the same time,trying to knock down the other teams pins(which are the anchors that keep the ship a float). GRADE 3-6

The grade 5/6 students in the midst of a great game of European Handball. Throughout this unit, students have been developing their movement skills(catching & shooting) and have been focusing on IB related concepts such as adaptation and communication. They have been learning about how to adapt to changes in their surroundings, have been practicing how to move into open space to receive a pass, how to recognize an appropriate time to pass and shoot, as well as how to consistently be aware of teammates and opponents.
